Timeless and Romantic Chicago Wedding at Galleria Marchetti
Maria was a college friend of ours and we were so thrilled when she wanted to learn more about our services! She has always been very fashionable so we knew her vision was going to be stylish and chic.
Opting for black, white and greenery, it was a timeless wedding indeed!
The morning started off at Swissotel with gorgeous views of Navy Pier and all of Maria’s favorite gals!
Before the ceremony, a first look took place at Garfield Park Conservatory along with family and wedding party photos. Garfield Park Conservatory provided a lush backdrop for all their photos, absolutely stunning!
Both Maria and Rhys are Greek and their ceremony was held at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral. A place special to Maria as her great grandparents were married there 92 years prior!
Their reception was held at Galleria Marchetti, an Italian inspired event space. Maria was going after the tented feel that Galleria Marchetti offered but this also had some history to her family as well! Years ago, Galleria Marchetti was called Como Inn. Her family would often eat there and it’s where her Aunt and Uncle got engaged!
After cocktail hour, guests were invited to find their escort card on a candle lit table before entering the reception. Inside the reception room was filled with lush greenery and white florals designed by Revel Decor with a white dance floor in the middle. Timeless and romantic.
Maria and Rhys chose a “doughnut cake” that was topped with a cake topper that belonged to the Bride's parents. Guests helped themselves to the doughnuts that surrounded the “doughnut cake”.
After the three course meal, it was time to dance! The warm light from the hanging chandeliers provided a beautiful ambiance during all the formal dances and then it was time for the dance floor to open!
The night ended with their last song “Piano Man” and it was so beautiful to see and hear everyone singing in unison. They definitely didn’t want the party to end and neither did we!
